Performing new single live – Warning Label (released November 11, 2025)

ABOUT

Zachary Outman is a Louisville-based indie singer-songwriter whose music captures the resilience, honesty, and grit of a life shaped by reinvention. Born and raised in South County, St. Louis, Zach first pursued a career in baseball, even being drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2009. But when a lifelong condition cut his professional career short, music quietly stepped in to take its place.

After teaching himself guitar and the craft of performing, Zach quickly became a familiar face in Louisville’s local music scene, playing dozens of gigs and developing a knack for turning lived experiences into authentic songs. The pandemic years brought pause but also prolific songwriting, as he penned nearly 50 new tracks.

In 2025, a much-needed reset reignited his creative drive, leading to the recording of his debut single, Warning Label, set for release on November 11, 2025. That same year, he was selected to perform at the Nashville Music Awards, where Warning Label is also nominated for Outstanding Americana Single.

Blending heartfelt storytelling with a distinct indie-Americana sound, Zach’s music speaks to anyone who has weathered love, change, loss, and growth. With his debut EP on the horizon, he continues to channel his journey into songs that feel both deeply personal and universally relatable.

Press Release: Louisville Singer-Songwriter Zach Outman Debuts with Heartfelt Single “Warning Label” – A Story of Love, Lessons, and Second Chances.

LOUISVILLE, KY — Life’s winding road has led Louisville-based indie singer-songwriter and former professional baseball player Zach Outman to the release of his debut single, “Warning Label,” arriving November 11, 2025 on all streaming platforms.

Blending 90’s and 2000’s alt-rock influences with a modern Americana edge, “Warning Label” is a soulful, midtempo ballad that dives into the familiar cycle of love, red flags, and hard-earned self-awareness. Driven by strong guitar chords, a steady groove, and Outman’s unmistakably raw vocal delivery, the track captures the emotional honesty that defines his artistry.

Warning Label is about recognizing the signs we choose to ignore — in others and in ourselves,” says Outman. “It’s about how love can make us brave, foolish, and human all at once.”

Born and raised in South County, St. Louis, Zach’s journey began far from the stage. Drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2009, he pursued a career in professional baseball until a lifelong condition unexpectedly cut it short. Music, however, stepped in to fill the silence. Teaching himself guitar and performance from scratch, he soon became a familiar face in Louisville’s local music scene, known for his soulful performances and relatable storytelling.

The pandemic years brought a creative shift, inspiring Zach to write nearly 50 new songs that laid the foundation for his upcoming projects. A much-needed reset in 2025 reignited his drive, culminating in the recording of “Warning Label” — and a nomination for Outstanding Americana Single at the Nashville Music Awards, where Outman is also set to perform later this year.

With his debut EP on the horizon, Zach Outman is carving his place in the indie-Americana landscape — crafting songs that speak to resilience, reinvention, and the messy beauty of starting over.

“Warning Label” — Available November 11, 2025 on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major streaming platforms.Follow Zach Outman:
